FAQ

What is a hypervisor?

A hypervisor, also known as a Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM), is software used to create and manage virtual machines (VMs). It allows multiple virtual servers to run on a dedicated bare-metal server while sharing host resources. Resources can be allocated individually and virtual servers remain fully isolated.

Dedicated hypervisor vs dedicated server

With a dedicated root server, you install one operating system that uses all hardware resources for a specific purpose. With a dedicated hypervisor, you can: deploy multiple virtual servers run different operating systems and applications allocate resources as needed host multiple customers with full isolation

Can hypervisors be clustered?

Yes. We can provide hyper-converged hypervisor clusters to optimize performance and system stability. Contact our hosting experts for guidance.

Can resources be upgraded or downgraded?

Generally, yes. Resources can be increased, reduced or extended with additional systems running separately or in a cluster.

Interface security

The web interface is accessible via an SSL-encrypted connection. All applications, including the VM console, are protected with banking-level encryption. Two-factor authentication and firewall access restrictions can also be enabled.
